3rd EUROPE DAY CONFERENCE: The Enlarged European Union in a Time of New Challenges

Bound by shared history and comprehensive cultural ties, as well as linked by an important economic relationship, Brazil watches keenly as events unfold on the European continent. In order to discuss issues concerning the common agenda, as well as to shed light on challenges regarding the recent events in Europe, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, together with the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and the Delegation of the European Union to Brazil, organized the 3rd Europe Day Conference on the 8th of May, which took place in the former foreign ministry, the Palacio Itamaraty, in Rio de Janeiro.

Em 24 de abril, o evento da “Democracia Virtual”, organizado pela Fundação Konrad Adenauer (KAS) em parceria com a Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (UNICAP) foi realizado em Recife para discutir as mudanças nos fluxos de informação derivadas da internet e das redes sociais, que estão transformando muitas dinâmicas sociais e a consciência política neste mundo globalizado, afetando a vida cotidiana do indivíduo em quase todos os aspectos e melhorando a organização política dos grupos sociais contra os governos. Também foi debatido como os governos e outros agentes sociais estão reagindo.

Mehr als 35 der Stadtratsmitglieder des Staates Rio de Janeiro der brasilianischen Sozial Demokratischen Partei (PSDB) haben teilgenommen.
