Alumni meeting - Foundation Office Brazil

The Brazil office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung invites those former scholarship holders living in Brazil to a formal evening to converse with the colleagues from the regional office and recently accepted scholarship holders. The objective of this event is to strengthen the contact with alumni and to further develop the network between scholarship holders and the foundation.
The former scholarship holders living in Brazil are a diverse group. To date, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has given more than 120 young people the possibility to study in Germany through its scholarships. Alumni are currently holding important positions in politics, the private sector, administration, diplomacy, as well as in art and culture. Many of them were also ambassadors of their country in their time as scholarship holders and PhD candidates. Others became part of the ‘KAS family’ through the foundation’s support of artists and musicians. Yet others received local scholarships from the KAS' Brazil Office to participate in journalism and rhetoric seminars lasting several weeks. It is now important to leverage and vitalise this widespread network. On the occasion of the assessment centre the alumni will intensify the discussions that they started at the first round table and develop new ideas for increased networking. Furthermore, they will support the newly accepted scholarship holders by answering any questions they might have and talking about their own experiences.
