Education experts, active politicians, scientists, journalists and civil society representatives are invited to an intellectual dialogue on the reform of the Brazilian political system which will take place on June 1st, 2015 in the premises of the city council of São Paulo.

The Italian MEP Fabio Porta, who represents the Italian citizens residing in Latin America in the Italian Parliament, will present the recently adopted electoral reform in Italy. Christian Matthäus, trainee at KAS Brazil, will then be presenting the essential traits of the German Federal Republic system and the German electoral system to subsequently enter a debate on the possibility of reforming the Brazilian political system. The comparison of the three political systems should provide impetus to better understand them and to become aware of the benefits of these systems. In the Brazilian discourse, the German electoral system is often designated as a good model that may serve as an example for the reform of the Brazilian electoral law.
