The Konrad Adenauer Foundation presents itself and its partners in the German Pavilion "OliAle" during the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2016 in Rio. We cordially invite you to participate actively in our discussions, get to know our work in Brazil and the world and inform yourself about our publications and our scholarships! Participation is free of charge and without prior registration. We offer simultaneous interpretation into German and Portuguese.
2:30 pm Opening: THE KONRAD ADENAUER FOUNDATION AT THE PAVILION OLIALE
The former Olympic athlete and current Member of the German Parliament Eberhard Gienger will attend the opening of the KAS activities in the German Pavilion.
Welcoming speech: Jan Woischnik, Head @ KAS Brazil and Eberhard Gienger (CDU, Christian Democratic Union), Member of the German Parliament and President of the Working Group Sports and Volunteering of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group of the German Parliament.
3:00 pm Quiz: CITIES OF THE FUTURE: URBAN RESPONSES TO CLIMATE CHANGE
The interactive quiz explores how different cities in Chile and Brazil are dealing with climate change.

The orchestral group 5Pi was founded in 2011 and comprises 5 adolescents who received their musical education at the Music School of the Favela Rocinha. The school is a cultural association which was founded by the German Music Professor Hans Ulrich Koch and is dedicated to social development through music.
