The Brazilian Conference on Climate Change is held annually, since 2019, by the union of co-organizing organizations, of which the Konrad Adenauer Foundation - KAS in Brazil is a part, and aims to promote dialogues for the formulation and monitoring of commitments that positively influence climate governance and proposes solutions for the implementation of the Brazilian NDC, greater ambitions in the climate agenda and adaptation to environmental changes.

We believe that the mobilization of civil society and the public and private sector is fundamental to reversing the ongoing escalation of climate damage and to guarantee climate justice and full living conditions for humanity and ecosystems.

 

The Brazilian Climate Change Conference proposes to promote dialogues with non-governmental organizations, social movements, traditional peoples, governments, the scientific community, and the public and private sectors to engage society as a whole in the development of solutions for the decarbonization of the Brazilian economy and to face the climate emergency.

 

The meeting is non-partisan, collectively organized, and is based on the Brazilian NDC, the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda. This year, the 3rd edition of the conference takes place between September 27th and October 1st, and will be broadcast online and free of charge by the YouTube channel of the Ethos Institute. There will be 10 hours of programming every day of the conference, with various debates, publication launches, and cultural initiatives and presentations.
