Public policies for women, children and young people

The Human Rights Training course, organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in partnership with Kolping Brazil, aims to train and disseminate in-depth knowledge on the subject of human rights in a broad and accessible way. In addition, we seek to debate important issues for the current social context, which impact the lives of millions of people in Brazil and around the world on a daily basis.

Virtuelle Demokratie - Goiânia

Am 20. November 2014 organisierte die KAS zusammen mit der Universität des Bundestaates von Goias (UFG) die Veranstaltung aus der Seminarreihe „Virtuelle Demokratie” in Goiânia, der Hauptstadt des Bundesstaates Goiás. On 19 November 2014, the opening ceremony of Brazil's largest simulation of the United Nations took place in the historic Itamaraty Palace in Rio de Janeiro in the presence of UN representatives, the State of Rio de Janeiro and the city council. 500 students participated in this year's edition of SiONU.

Far away from his city of origin, São Paulo, the journalist collected valuable experiences and ideas with regards to the current state of the development of renewable energies in Germany.

XI. Forte de Copacabana: "Multilateral security governance"

Latin America’s largest security conference

On October 10, 2014 the 11th edition of Latin America's largest security conference "Forte de Copacabana" took place in Rio de Janeiro. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Brazil invited – together with the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) and the Representation of the European Union in Brazil – the interested public to attend the exchange between scientists, military, diplomats and strategists and discuss the role of Brazil in the international security system.

Bahia: Salvador

On September 25th 2014, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) set up the sixth edition of its series of “Virtual Democracy” seminars in Salvador, the capital of the federative state of Bahia. The Event took place under the auspices of the Catholic University of Salvador (UCSAL), as well as of the State University of Bahia (UFBA). Once more, the impact of social mediums, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on Brazil’s Civil Society and Political Culture, as well on the functioning of its democracy took centre-stage on the interactive panels and subsequent debates.
