This day marked the closing of an entire week dedicated to workshops, panel discussions and field trips, in order to increase level of awareness among both the public and politicians. More than 20 countries were represented as well as many experts coming from all over the world to share experiences and bring our attention to the waste’s value chain. Waste management is an important part of the urban infrastructure as it ensures the protection of the environment and of human health.
The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change in Sub-Saharan Africa supported a panel discussion on clean energy topics. Energy has become to many African countries a real challenge.
