On the downward path of the carbon footprint in Latin America, decarbonizing the economy and aiming for green growth is one of the goals we must pursue.
One of the many collateral effects of COVID-19 has been the decrease in air pollution levels, which is replicated in a reduction in the carbon footprint (less GHG emissions). However, is this reduction significant for the climate? How much does it represent in the assumption that the pandemic had not existed? What lessons can we learn from this situation, to work on the decarbonisation route? .
Join us in this third installment of our EKLA Climate Change series in times of Coronavirus and thanks to Pablo Necoechea, Senior Sustainability Manager of Grupo Televisa and former KAS fellow, try to respond to these and other concerns.
