En las instalaciones del Centro de Capacitación de la Secretaría de Energía de México( CECAL-SENER) se realizó, del 09 al 13 de Julio, el Taller presencial del Programa en Desarrollo Ejecutivo en Eficiencia Energética. Evento organizado por OLADE, la Cooperación Austriaca para el Desarrollo (ADA),la SENER y el Programa EKLA-KAS.

Latin American Carbon Pricing Forum

The event was aimed at promoting the exchange of experiences and strengthening the actuation of the different stakeholders involved in carbon pricing agenda, based on the lessons learned on the different initiatives undertaken so far in the region.

KAS & IASS Side Event to the 4th Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue

On April 17th and 18th Germany hosted the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2018, the largest Dialogue ever with more than 2,000 participants from 95 countries, 43 ministers and state secretaries and 120 international speakers. On April 16th, KAS & IASS organized an official Side Event to BETD, with a special focus on the German-Latin American Strategic Alliance for a Global Energy Transition Policy.

Contributions of Blockchain Technology to Climate Finance Transparency Initiatives

Design Thinking Workshop

The Regional Programme for Energy Security and Climate Change in Latin America of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (EKLA-KAS) and the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) organized a design thinking workshop on blockchain technology in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. The workshop aimed at identifying potential contributions of blockchain technology to more transparency in global climate finance.

Nachhaltige Entwicklung und CO2-Bepreisung

Vor dem Hintergrund der zunehmenden Bedeutung von CO2-Bepreisung und Emissionshandel für die lateinamerikanische Energie-und Klimapolitik, veranstaltete das Regionalprogramm EKLA-KAS einen Workshop mit Gästen aus Politik, Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft in Lima, Peru. Als Ausgangspunkt diente hierbei ein Vortrag von Michael Jakob vom Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change, Berlin (MCC), der diesen Rahmen nutzte, um den anwesenden Experten aus dem EKLA-KAS Netzwerk seine neueste Studie zum Thema Chancen und Herausforderungen der CO2-Bepreisung in Peru vorzustellen.

LAMBAYEQUE: Auf dem Weg zur Nachhaltigkeit

In Chiclayo, der Hauptstadt der Region Lambayeque, an der Nordküste Perus, fand am 17. Februar das erste regionale Seminar zum Thema nachhaltige Entwicklung und erneuerbare Energien des Jahres statt. Organisiert wurde diese Veranstaltung erneut vom Regionalprogramm EKLA-KAS und dem Netzwerk Erneuerbare Energie Peru (Red Energía Renovable Perú).
