24 серпня 1991р., 30 років тому прийнято Акт про проголошення незалежності України, який було підтверджено на Всеукраїнському референдумі 1 грудня 1991р. За період 30-річної історії незалежної України (1991-2021рр.) в державі відбулися кардинальні зміни в усіх без винятку сферах. Прийнятими в перші роки незалежності законодавчими актами були визначені, а у 1996р. Конституцією України — закріплені засади розбудови Української держави як демократичної, правової та соціальної. Значно розширився перелік гарантованих Конституцією держави прав і свобод громадян, передусім, політичних, принциповим досягненням стало створення реальних можливостей для їх реалізації і захисту. У країні утворилися нові інститути, такі як: приватна власність, ринкова економіка, вільне підприємництво, багатопартійність, плюралістичне громадянське суспільство, свобода слова та вільні від цензури медіа тощо.

Almost a year since its beginning, the political crisis in Belarus is escalating problems that people in this country had been facing before it started. The Belarusian society is in depression. The challenges it is experiencing look unsurmountable and intertwined in a snarl knot. In an attempt to unravel it, this paper focuses on main issues that concern the Belarusian people and major differences between e.g. Minsk and the regions, as well as groups of population.
