The Future of Work for the Asian Youth (Malaysia)

This country report serves to shed light on the realities of the future of work in Malaysia. The first part will examine the current state of youths in Malaysia from the demographical lenses, education and workforce participation of youths. The second part will discuss the realities faced by Malaysian youths from both the opportunities and challenges for the youths. And the final part will be the policy recommendations to further alleviate some of the challenges faced by youths in transitioning to the work.

Und anders als früher haben sie offenbar sehr kon-krete Vorstellungen darüber, was zu tun ist, um Griechenland ein „grünes Wachstum“ zu ermöglichen.

In der Woche, in der ein geradezu explosionsartiger Anstieg der ungeregelten Migration aus Mittelamerika in die USA bekannt wurde, hat der Beauftragte der Biden-Regierung für die Länder des Nördlichen Dreiecks, Ricardo Zuñiga, zum ersten Mal Guatemala und El Salvador besucht und Gespräche mit den dortigen Regierungen geführt. Diese gelten zwar als Alliierte der USA, aber manchmal bereitet einem das Verhalten der engsten Freunde das größte Kopfzerbrechen. Das gilt jedenfalls für Guatemala, Honduras und El Salvador. Die Regierung Biden muss einerseits Ruhe in die Beziehungen bringen, andererseits aber auch die Ursachen der institutionellen Schwächen der Länder und der ungeregelten Migration bekämpfen.

Mit dem Amtsantritt Joe Bidens im Weißen Haus stehen auch die unter seinem Amtsvorgänger Donald Trump arg gebeutelten Beziehungen der USA zu Mexiko vor einem Neustart. Ob dies allerdings zwingend alles nur positive Auswirkungen haben wird, und welche Konsequenzen dieses Verhältnis für Deutschland und die transatlantischen Beziehungen haben kann, ist noch offen. Eine differenzierte Sicht und die Bereitschaft, multiple internationale Beziehungen zu entwickeln, ist dafür ebenso eine wesentliche Voraussetzung wie die Erkenntnis, dass Mexiko immer stärker im Kontext des nordamerikanischen Wirtschaftsraumes betrachtet und behandelt werden muss.

On 13 April Daniel Braun, Official Representative of KAS, met with President of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski and International Secretaries, Timco Mucunski and Vladimir Gjorchev.

At the meeting, many current issues with which the country is facing were discussed, as the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, the role of the Opposition in the Assembly and the EU perspective of the country. At the meeting, it was concluded that the cooperation between KAS and the party VMRO-DPMNE will remain at a high level and be further expanded.
