The Centre for Indigenous Knowledge and Organisational Development, the University of Development Studies, Upper West Regional House of Chiefs with support of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung organised a workshop on the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Traditional Authority and Environmental Management in Upper West Region. The workshop was attended by Academic Staff of University of Development Studies, Traditional leaders- Chiefs and Queen Mothers, members of Upper Mining Coalition, members of political parties, staff of Upper West Regional House of Chiefs, members of civil society, staff of the Environmental Protection Agency. Papers were presented and various group works were held as methodology of the workshop. The workshop provide new perspectives and dimensions of the gold mining situation in the Upper West Region.
