Following the invitation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation the former German Federal President, his Excellency Mr. Horst Köhler, will be visiting Ghana from the 19th to the 21st of September 2011. As part of the opening celebrations of the John A. Kufuor Foundation Mr. Horst Köhler will make a speech about “Walking the Tightrope: Balancing State, Market and Society” at the University of Ghana in Accra.

Furthermore representatives of the German political foundations and other German organizations will inform the former president about their projects and activities in Ghana.

The foundation of the former Ghanaian President Mr. John A. Kufuor campaigns for sustainable economy and good governance. Almost one year ago, while visiting the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Berlin, Mr. Kufuor signed the KAS guidelines for prosperity, social justice and sustainable economic activity.

The intense exchange between Ghana and the Federal Republic of Germany in all ranks demonstrates the close bilateral relations between the two countries.
