Following an invitation by KAS Athens, representatives of leading Greek print, radio and online media visited Germany in November 2012. During their stay in Hamburg and Berlin, they met with colleagues of DIE ZEIT and DER SPIEGEL and participated in a roundtable discussion on the Greek-German relations at the KAS Education Centre in Hamburg.
In Berlin, discussions at the German Parliament and the Federal Press Office as well as with various German journalists took place. Moreover, the Greek guests had the opportunity to attend the Federal Press Conference and to exchange views with the organisers of this special institution, which is located at the interface of media and politics.
In the week of the German Parliament’ decision on the disbursement of the current credit tranche to Greece, the German partners were very interested to meet the Greek delegation, so that the programme resulted in a very beneficial dialogue for both sides.
