On 20 April, 2015 at the River Room at King's College London (KCL), the European Centre for Energy and Resource Security (EUCERS), together with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) in London, organized the second event of the "EUCERS/ISD/KAS Energy Talks 2015" on "Kazakhstan as an Emerging Energy Superpower", followed by a panel discussion organised together with the Nazarbayev University and KAS Kazakhstan on EU-Kazakh Relations.

Iran exports gas to its neighbours, but will face challenges in moving to a global strategy
On 24th February, the EUCERS/ISD/KAS workshop on Iran explored the possible scenarios for Iran's re-emergence as an energy superpower, the consequent geostrategic implications and the position that Europe may potentially take.
Between 20th and 22nd January 2015, intensive discussions on finance and economic policy took place in London. Among the participants was vice-chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group and finance expert, Ralph Brinkhaus MP.
Together with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), Konrad-Adenauer Foundation London organised a British-German security dialogue on January 16. Its goal was to explore comprehensive approaches to security in Europe's neighbourhood.

The fifth Energy Talk under the overall theme of “Changing Political and Economic Dynamics of Global Energy Flows” – the last workshop in this year – took place on 6 November 2014. The common event of EUCERS, Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) and Konrad-Adenauer foundation London had the topic “How will China`s energy hunger affect the world?”.
Nicht nur geografisch, auch politisch führt Großbritannien dieser Tage ein Inseldasein in Europa und sieht sich wieder einmal dem Vorwurf ausgesetzt, eine Sonderstellung einnehmen zu wollen. Vor dem in Aussicht gestellten Referendum über einen möglichen EU-Austritt sucht Europa nun nach einem möglichen Kompromiss. Sir John Major warb in Berlin um Verständnis für die Sorgen seines Landes und pragmatische Lösungen. „Bei einem Austritt würden beide Seiten viel verlieren“, so der ehemalige Premierminister Großbritanniens.
