Conference on "Governance and Gender Parity"

Gender parity implies equal access and rights for both men and women. Countries all over the world prioritise governance and developmental measures that seek to enhance gender parity and equality. However, in many spheres women are still working assiduously to catch up. So, Jain University, Bangalore along with the India office of the Konrad- Adenauer-Stiftung organised a two-day conference on "Governance and Gender Parity: Prospects And Challenges"

On Sunday, 2nd February 2020, Lex Consilium Foundation together with the India office of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organised a one-day lecture-cum-quiz in the capital for law students of various law schools from all over India.

Round table discussion on the Iran-US conflict and the future of the West Asia

After the killing of the Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and the escalation of the conflict between Iran and the USA, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung India together with SAISA and the Nehru Memorial Museum organized a round table discussion. Which facets does this conflict have? How will it develop in the future? What role can India play in it? are just a few of the many questions that the speakers at the Nehru Memorial Museum in New Delhi discussed.

Raisina Dialogue - more dialogue in the world

From around the globe, high-ranking representatives from politics and civil society met in New Delhi to discuss the most pressing geopolitical issues for three days. The European Union and its role in international politics also became a focal point of the Raisina Dialogue and sent an important message to the world. The event, which is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India together with the Observer Research Foundation and partnered by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation India amongst others, is considered the largest conference in Asia on geostrategic issues.

Celebrating New India

On 16th December “Celebrating New India”, a forum that aims to engage the foremost political and business minds as well as leaders from civil society and academia to shape national, regional and industry agendas was held in New Delhi. The event was jointly organized by Global Village Foundation, iLEAD and the India Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and was attended by various distinguished experts as well as state ministers, international guests and ambassadors.

3rd India Forum on China discusses “China and Asia’s Changing Geopolitics”

The 3rd India Forum on China, titled “China and Asia’s Changing Geopolitics” organized by the Institute of Chinese Studies and the KAS India Office with the support of Goa University, took place from 5th until 7th of December 2019. As it was the case in the past two editions, several distinguished panelists, experts and strategists from India and abroad discussed China’s role in the region and how this has led to a geopolitical change in Asia. China’s rise and its implications for Asia and the world were further discussed as an ever-present issue in the international relations discourse.

Regional Frameworks to Address Security Challenges in the Indian Ocean Region and South East Asia

On December 4th, 2019, Delhi Policy Group (DPG) and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) India jointly organized the conference on “Regional Frameworks to Address Security Challenges in the Indian Ocean Region and South East Asia”. It was the second event jointly held by the two partners, addressing regional challenges within the Indo-Pacific from an international viewpoint.

4th Chanakya Chakra Forum: Towards a Secure and Prosperous Indo-Pacific

On 4th December, the 4th edition in 2019 of the Chanakya Chakra roundtable discussion, a discussion forum on foreign and security policies, was held to discuss current developments and security challenges in the Indo-Pacific.

IDSA- KAS Round Table Discussion

On December 2nd, the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung India’s office organized a roundtable discussion at the IDSA Campus in New Delhi, India.

Kolkata Colloquium on Re-imagining BIMSTEC

On 28th and 29th of November, Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) India, Centre for New Economic Diplomacy and Department for International Development, UK, organized the Kolkata Colloquium, a two-day international conference on Reimagining BIMSTEC in Kolkata, India. Academics, thinkers, policy makers, journalists, and other important stakeholders of the BIMSTEC countries as well as potential partners were invited to explore the brand value of BIMSTEC, its opportunities for wider collaboration, and the prevalent narratives within BIMSTEC. Accordingly, the discussions in the Colloquium sought to generate larger perspectives for harnessing the maximum opportunities and benefits of the organization
