Welcome, Mr. Paul!
On the 28th of November, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’ s Desk Officer for South Asia, Mr. Lewe Paul, will visit India to familiarize himself with the work of the India office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. During his trip to Kolkata, Chennai, Puducherry, New Delhi and Goa, Mr. Paul will gain insight into the project work of the KAS India office which covers a wide range of topics, from Foreign and Security Policy, to Rule of Law and Training Programmes for Students of Journalism.

The 3rd Round Table of Chanakya-Chakra-Forum, a series of discussions jointly launched by the Forum for Strategic Initiatives and the India office of the Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung along with other Think Tanks, will take place on November 1st 2019 at the Manekshaw Convention Centre in New-Delhi.

9th Palkhivala lecture on Competitive Politics in India
On 31st October 2019 the 9th Palkhivala lecture will be held by the India office and the Lex Consilium Foundation as a part of the Nani Palkhivala Birth Centenary Celebrations. Several notable speakers will discuss competitive politics in India and whether dynasty and democracy can co-exist.

Seminar on "Implications Of Attacks On Saudi Oil Installations" at Nehru Memorial Museum and Library
The attack towards Saudi oil facilities on 14th September represents the latest escalation in the strained situation on the Arabian Peninsula and West Asia, or more specifically, between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The most ardent issue revolves around the question to who carried out the attack on the oil production sites- Iran or Houthi rebels from Yemen. Against this backdrop, the South Asian Inter-Scholastic Association, the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library and the India office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation host a seminar on “Implications Of Attacks On Saudi Oil Installations” on 1st October at Nehru Memorial Museum And Library. Topics that will be addressed include the political situation in the Middle East, geopolitical ramification of the attack on Saudi oil installation and potentials and limitations of using drones as a factor in hybrid warfare.

The Institute of Chinese Studies, New Delhi, the Institute of South Asian Studies of the National University of Singapore, the India International Centre and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung`s India office are jointly organizing a symposium on “China`s Digital Silk Road” on 25th of September.

Indian Politicians and Experts visit Geneva, Brussels and Berlin
A seven-member Indian delegation led by Suresh Prabhu, Former Minister for Economic Affairs and Civil Aviation, will visit Geneva, Brussels and Berlin between the 22nd and 28th of September in line with the Dialogue Programme Indo-German Cooperation Promoting Multilateralism.

Journalism workshop: Combating Misinformation and Fake News
On the 17th and 18th September, the World Association of Newspapers and Newspublishers (WAN-IFRA) and the India office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung will jointly organize a workshop on “Combating Misinformation and Fake News” in Gurugram, Delhi.
