Die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organisierte gemeinsam mit dem Institute for Educational Reform (IER) der Universität Paramadina (Jakarta) in der nordsulawesischen Stadt Manado ein Training für Lehrerinnen und Lehrer an Oberschulen, um sie mit Demokratie und demokratischen Prinzipien als Unterrichtsgegenstand und -methode vertraut zu machen.

Erstes regionales Treffen der KAS-Alumni

Ende Juni lud die KAS ca. 70 ehemalige Stipendiat_innen aus sieben südostasiatischen Ländern zu einer Konferenz nach Singapur ein, um bestehende Beziehungen zu stärken und neue Netzwerke aufzubauen. Neun Alumni aus Indonesien, die als Politiker, Journalisten oder Vertreter der Zivilgesellschaft seit langer Zeit in engem Kontakt zur KAS stehen, folgten der Einladung. Begleitet wurden sie von Marc Frings, Projektassistent im KAS-Auslandsbüro Jakarta. Zu einem dreitägigen Workshop in Tangerang (Java) trafen sich Vertreterinnen lokaler Frauenorganisationen mit der KAS Indonesien. Es galt, nach dreijähriger erfolgreicher Kooperation über bisherige Erfolge und nächste Schritte zu beraten.

Molukken im Fokus der achten KAS-Frauen-Regionalkonferenz

DISKUSSIONEN ZUR ROLLE VON FRAUEN IN STAAT UND GESELLSCHAFT

Seit 2008 organisiert die KAS Indonesien Regionalkonferenzen zum Thema „Frauen in politischer und gesellschaftlicher Ver-antwortung“. Der dezentrale Organisati-onscharakter – zwischen Aceh im Westen und Papua im Osten finden entsprechende Veranstaltungen statt – soll dazu beitra-gen, Frauen in möglichst vielen indonesi-schen Provinzen zu erreichen. Zur ersten Regionalkonferenz im Jahr 2011 in Ambon waren Frauen aus der Provinz Moluku eingeladen. Moluku ist Teil der Inselgrup-pe der Molukken, die auch als historische „Gewürzinseln“ bekannt ist.

EU-Project in Aceh und Papua

From January 31 to February 3, 2011, KAS and SATUNAMA initiated an Inception Workshop for the EU-co-financed project on „Capacity Building for Local Civil Society Organisations to enhance Democratic Participation and Representation in Aceh and Papua“. Representatives of the civil society from both Aceh and Papua will participate in activities that will take place in the respective provinces until December 2011. In the frame of this workshop, the project team which consists of five persons got trained.
