Schlüsselübergabe im Auslandsbüro Israel

Der Ehrenvorsitzende der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung und Ministerpräsident a.D., Prof. Dr. Bernhard Vogel nahm den Büroleiterwechsel im Auslandsbüro Israel zum Anlass, sich vom 11. bis zum 14. Februar 2018 einen Überblick über die aktuelle Situation in Land und Region zu verschaffen. In Begleitung von Dr. Alexander Brakel, Leiter des Auslandsbüros Israel, Dr. Michael Borchard, stv. Hauptabteilungsleiter WD/ACDP und ehemaliger Leiter des Auslandsbüros Israel und Thomas Birringer, Teamleiter Nahost, widmete sich Prof. Vogel zunächst dem Meinungsaustausch mit hochrangigen Vertretern der Knesset.

Ambassador Series

Through the Ambassador Series, KAS Israel has partnered with the Tel Aviv Salon to host young internationals from around the world to connect them with the leaders of the diplomatic corps in Israel. On January 9, 2018 at the Mindspace in Tel Aviv, KAS Israel and the Tel Aviv Salon hosted a discussion with the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yuval Rotem.

Dialogprogramm für deutsche Gründer

Ende November wagten zehn junge Unternehmer aus Deutschland einen Blick hinter die Kulissen der "Start-Up Nation" und machten sich im Rahmen eines zweitägigen Dialogprogramms mit der israelischen Innovationsszene vertraut. Dabei trafen sie auf hiesige Gründer, Investoren und auf Vetreter öffentlicher Seite. Daheim in Deutschland werden die Delegationsteilnehmer im Rahmen des KAS Start-Up-Kollegs in ihrer Rolle als Unternehmensgründer gefördert.

YOCOPAS Conference 2017

On October 26-28 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung hosted in cooperation with the Eastern Mediterranean International School (EMIS) the yearly Youth Collaboration of Peace and Sustainability Conference (YOCOPAS) in HaKfar HaYarok. The conference, in which twelve Israeli and Palestinian schools participated, took place under the motto “crossing borders” and explored the notion and influence of borders on different spheres of life: Borders and personal identity, borders and society and borders and conflict. The goal was to encourage youth to actively cross borders to achieve peace and sustainability.

Following German Tracks in Tel Aviv-Yaffo: From Sarona to German Diplomacy

On November 23 2017, KAS Israel and the Center for the Study of European Politics and Society at the Ben-Gurion University of Negev, hosted a one-day study program on "German Tracks in Tel Aviv."

Israel - Between Holy Land and Start-up Nation

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung received the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS) from 19 to 23 August 2017 for a study and information program in Israel.

Naming the Sacred: Jerusalem and Religious Toponomastic in History, Theology and Politics

Together with the Elijah Interfaith Institute, FSCIRE - University of Bologna, the UNITWIN network for interreligious and intercultural studies and the Jerusalem gateway of Notre Dame University, KAS Israel hosted the conference “Naming the Sacred" on October 17 and 18, 2017.

Lessons from other conflicts

The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in Israel organised together with the Geneva Initiative the conference "Lessons from other conflicts". The event focused on the relevance of comparing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with other conflict worldwide in order to learn how they are being dealt with and to draw the conclusions for the region.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Israel organized in cooperation with the National Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at the Ben-Gurion University in Be'er Sheva a 4-day seminar for MA-students on the topic of European Economy.

THE ISRAEL-EUROPE FUTURE TASK FORCE PROJECT

The project addressed issues relating the Israeli-European relations and the rising challenges in the international system in a series of discussions and workshops for a group of young Israeli and European foreign policy professionals.
