PROGRAM:
10:00-12:30 – Tour in Sarona: German immigrants in Tel-Aviv-Yaffo
We will start the day with a study tour on the subject of German life in Tel-Aviv throughout the years:
While exploring the fascinating history of the Templers in the settlement of Sarona, we will also get the chance to visit the mysterious Templers tunnels. In addition we will learn about the political and social role that the Jewish immigrants from Germany played in Israel before its independence and during its first years.

13:00 – 14:00 – Culinary lecture: The German Kitchen in Israel
We will hear a lecture about German cuisine and the influence of German kitchen in Israel.
Lecturer: Tom Franz, Chef, 3rd season winner of the Israeli TV show “Master Chef”
14:00 – 15:30 – Visit to the embassy: The Influence of Germany in Israel nowadays
•Welcome address by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Israel director Dr. Michael Borchard
We will visit the German Embassy in Tel-Aviv and learn about Germans living in Israel today. We will hear a briefing about German associations and organizations that are working in Israel and learn about the political role that Germany has been playing in Israeli society in recent years.

15:30 – 17:00 – Bavarian Beer Garden
We will finish the day with an open air lunch that will include some Bavarian specialties and beer.
