11 focus groups have been meeting in as well as outside of Beirut to discuss the problems of clientelism and sectarianism in light of the upcoming Lebanese elections in 2013. The aim is to provide policy recommendations that strengthen democratic values and practices in the Lebanese society. The groups include voters from different religious and financial backgrounds to address the relationship between constituents and politician linkages. The results will be published in December 2012.
