International Relations Outreach - Foundation Office Cambodia
Online-Seminar
Details
In centralized Cambodia, organizations and institutions that engage with international relations are primarily found in the capital of Phnom Penh and similarly, this is also where they have received their education most of the times; whereas, Khmer language is heavily underrepresented concerning the subject.
We therefore propose a series of webinars in cooperation with institutions that offer International Relations as a study subject outside of Phnom Penh for student to bolster their understanding and to strengthen their connection to the actors in the capital and abroad.
There are a series of three webinars, first is a panel discussion of high-ranking practitioners on the power dynamics in Southeast Asia, where students can get an insight into the workings of the macro-level of international relations in the region. Second is a roundtable event, the discussion will scope down to the regional level, for students to know a more tangible topic of importance to Cambodia, the power politics of the Mekong sub-region. In the third session, we provide a workshop to showcase the link between international relations and domestic issues, the development in Northwestern Cambodia.
The first two events will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation into Khmer, while the workshop will be conducted in Khmer.
