Cambodia-Thai relations have been shaped and reshaped by domestic factors both in Thailand and Cambodia. Bilateral relations were politicized, including the overlapping territorial claims in the areas surrounding the Preah Vihear temple. The event encourages an in-depth discussion on this issue. Speakers of the event will be Amb. Pou Sothirak, who will discuss the land border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand and examine the factors that drive this border conflict as well as determine what is at stake, and Mr. Kavi Chongkitavorn, who will examine current bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
