Workshop
Details
The one and a half days event aims at the identification of core training needs for Siem Reaps municipal administration in 2012.
In the course of the implementation of the de-concentration and decentralization reform of the Cambodian government, the local administrations get more responsibilities, functions and decision making powers. As a consequence, public servants at the local levels have well-prepared to be capable for their new duties and functions. To meet these requirements the workshop has been organized to systematically support the capacity building and development process.
The overall objective of the orientation workshop is the identification of the important issues and needs that will be facilitated in a training program, which will be conducted later this year. Thematically, the workshop consists of two parts: first of all, it will give an introduction to a variety of management skills for the public servant at the local level. It will encompass theoretical elements as well as practical assignments. The second part will build on the experiences and the knowledge facilitated in the first part and will include a detailed participatory planning of the training course with the aim to develop a prioritized list of topics for the training course.
