Regional Cooperation and Integration in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region - What role for KAS and KAS Alumni?

Alumni Meeting Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung

The KAS alumni meeting will deal with the cooperation and integration in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region and the role of KAS and KAS alumni.

The workshop will bring together KAS alumni from Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand to share experiences and country perspectives concerning the Mekong Region. Set in this context, the workshop will foster political dialogue and make Climate Change, Energy Security as well as Rule of Law a subject of discussion, embedded in a multi-stakeholder approach.

The alumni, inter alia, attended the Konrad Adenauer School for Young Politicians (KASYP), a regional programme, which was conceptualised and first implemented in 2010. The programme is designed to strengthen political parties in Asia and to develop a cadre of accountable and responsible young political leaders. Furthermore, former KAS scholarship holders are part of the alumni network.
