Youth in Politics

Promoting active democratic citizenship

KAS and Buddhism for Development will organise a training on “Youth in Politics: Active Democratic Citizenship” on 14th -16th September 2011 in Kampong Cham province.


Organized and supported by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) in cooperation with Buddhism for Development, this three-day training workshop aims to strengthen knowledge, understanding and skills on democratic values, political institution and processes to young political leaders so that they can play within their party and in relation to other parties and actors a more active and qualified role in the development of Cambodia’s political arena.

During the three-day training course, participants will be trained by professional and experienced lecturers from the Ministry of Interior, Buddhism for Development and Universities in Phnom Penh who have educational background and work experience related to political education and law. The methods used in the training to provide knowledge, techniques and skills are presentations, group activities, panel discussions, and question and answer sessions.
