Political Empowerment Academy 2021
The Political Empowerment Academy is organized by Konrad-Adenauer -Stiftung Cambodia in cooperation with Politikoffee. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) recognizes youth as a positive force for transformative positive social changes and aims to enhance their participation in Cambodian politics. Through the annual academy, launching for the first time in spring 2019, we aim to continue supporting the active participation of youth in the political process and empower the next generation of political, governmental, and civil society leaders.
Serial Seminars to Promote Understanding of Decentralization and Deconcentration to University Students in Battambang
In collaboration with the Battambang Provincial Office and various universities in Battambang the five serial-lecture of KAF-partner BFD aims to provide knowledge on decentralization and deconcentration policy and practice of Cambodian government.
Film Showing and Discussion Round II Outreach Activities
These activities by KAS-partner KID are geared to informing both government officials and grassroots communities about the ECCC processes. The activities take place on 13th and 27th of August.
Professional Training for Student Internships in Local Administration (2)
University students who attended the five serial workshops on D&D can apply for a six month internship at various local government offices. The students shall experience the real work in the field of D&D and therefore improve their skills.
Roles, Relations and Cooperation of Spokes Persons and Journalists
In cooperation with CCJ, KAS carries out a training course on reporting, writing and local PR in Battambang. Among others, topics will be basics of journalist' and spokes persons' work and the communication between the press and the administration.
Workshop on Decentralization and Deconcentration in Battambang

In collaboration with the Siem Reap Provincial Office and various universities in Siem Reap, KAS-partner BfD carries out this activity aiming to provide knowledge on decentralization and deconcentration policy and practice of the government.
Training Workshop for the Establishment and Operation of Community Radio in Various Provinces
KAS-partner BFD helps to establish six community radio stations that shall be run by local monks and people in the future. The aim of the radio is to promote socio-ethical value in Khmer society, particularly among the youth.
Internships in Commune Councils and District Offices in Battambang
Students who attended the workshops on D&D can apply for a six month internship at various local government offices including district and commune administration. This aims at the students experiencing the real work in the field of D&D.
Internships for University Students in Commune Councils and the District Office of Siem Reap
This workshop is a follow-up for students who participated in the D&D workshop and are granted internships in 15 communes in two districts. The workshop is held in collaboration with PLAU/Siem Reap.
Preventing and Managing Human Rights Violations
The workshop is part of capacity building efforts for committees in 13 communes which were established by BfD and KAS. Help for Commune Councils in managing conflicts of the village people and dealing with Human Rights issues is provided.
