CCJ Panel Discussion - The Role of the Media in Rural Development
What could the national media in Cambodia contribute to rural development? CCJ invites media representatives to discuss this topic in collaboration with the Lutheran World Federation Cambodia and KAS in a panel discussion on June 6.

KAS, BfD and the youth organization of KDU organize serial workshops aiming at providing knowledge on D&D policy and practice of the Cambodian government to students of higher learning institutions and the BtB and SR provincial and district offices.
European Film Festival
The DMC and the CCJ together with the EU will host an EU Film Festival. 11 films from different EU member states will be screened. Each film presentation will be followed by a discussion with a representative of the respective European country.

In May and June, 126 Citizen Advisors who received training at KID are transferring their knowledge to their local communities by conducting legal education workshops and assisting interested parties lodge an ECCC Victim Information Form to the ECCC.

The Governor, the deputy governors and the chiefs of office of the district meet in order to discuss and approve the district administration’s first draft of budget planning for 2009.
Internship program in the local governments of Battambang and Siem Reap
Students, who have attended workshops on decentralization and deconcentration and have been accepted for a six month internship at various local government offices are provided with training courses.

This series of seminars of Buddhists for Development in cooperation with its province offices aims at providing students with knowledge on decentralization and deconcentration in policy and practice
Training workshop for the establishment and operation of community radios in various provinces
BFD helps local monks and lay people with the establishment and running of 6 community radio stations. Socio-ethical values shall be promoted in Khmer society, especially amongst young people.
