Promotion of university students as interns in Commune Councils and Districts office in Battambang and Siemreap
University students that attended the five serial-workshop on D&D can apply for a six month internship at various local government offices including district and commune administration. This is aiming the students to experience the real work of D&D.

The workshop aims to provide necessary skills and knowledge on how to run a program in social ethics through radio broadcasting. Various pagodas involving with socially-engaged Buddhist activities of BFD purchase one hour from private radio station.

On December 12 H.E. Prof. Dr. Bernhard Vogel addresses the Cambodian Senators at the Senate library. He speakes about Germany’s historical experiences in overcoming dictatorships during the 20th century and the role of parliament in the process.

From December 11-21 the final evaluation of the Asia Urbs III Project will be carried out by Andrea Simon, a German evaluation expert from BBJ Consult. Asia Urbs III assists the reform of the provincial administration in Battambang and Siem Reap.

Decentralization and Deconcentration Policy and the Representation of Communal Interests
The seminar highlights the effect of the Cambodian decentralization policy on the rule of law. Acting Head of State, H.E. Samdech Chea Sim, adresses the audience. The topic has been chosen to commemorate the international human rights day.

Citizen Advisors' Training on Victims' Participation at the ECCC
5th Group of CA Training – KID-Project ‘Victim and Witness Protection Standards for the ECCC and Beyond’
18 citizen advisors from Siem Reap province will be trained on victims’ participation at the ECCC on how to encourage victims' participation in the ECCC process. The course topics include lodging complainants and making statements as witnesses.

The land use plan of Siem Reap district will be handed over to the Minstry of Interior during a ceremony at Sunway Hotel in Phnom Penh on November 29. The event is co-hosted by the Asia Urbs Project, Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation and the DED.
