It is projected that in 2030, 60 percent of Kenya’s population will be urbanized, cre-ating major challenges on equitable social development and sustainability of the environment. Developing innovative strategies for Smart Cities it imperative for the economic and social development of the country. There is need to conceptualize and identify qualities of a Smart City and cultivate an intelligent community that can manage and sustain urban growth and development.

The conference will provide opportunities for participants to dialogue on how to im-prove the living standards for all in our cities.
