Justice is very fundamental aspect in human life, when one talks about access to justice he or she should think broadly, focused and guided by the letter the Kenyan constitution Articles 27 (1), (2), (3) (4).

All grounds specified or contemplated in these clauses can be wholly or partly used as yard stick to assess level of justice to the citizens in any given geographical zone. Majority of Makueni people do not take cases to these institutions because some are in hard to reach zones, cases take too long to be determined, no transparency in cases dispensation and ignorance among the community members.

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung und MAPACA (Trust) intends to carry out awareness forums in Makueni County targeting the local citizens more so the poor and the marginalized thus forming linkages with relevant organs through referral systems eg Paralegals services, legal aids schemes, capacity building among other services deemed helpful to the community at large.

NB/Articles 27, 48, 49, 50 &51 in the constitution forms bases of our exercise thus intends to see the following outcomes:-

Informed citizens on their right to administration of justice and access by all

For “Justice delayed is justice denied”
