The handbook is available in Albanian, Englisch and Serbian language.

On the occasion of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung publishes the new policy brief about Energy and Energy efficiency titled "ENERGY - A practical approach in favor of a sustainable economic development in Kosovo" written by Lulzim Syla from Kosovo Renewable Energy Association. The document summarizes the main topics and challenges regarding Energy and gives specific recommandations about the following actions that should be fulfilled in favor on a sustainable energy policies.

In der zehnten Runde der Gespräche zwischen Pristina und Belgrad unter der Leitung der Hohen Beauftragten der EU für Gemeinsame Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik, Lady Catherine Ashton, kam es am Freitag, dem 19.04.2013, in Brüssel beim Treffen zwischen den Premierministern des Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi und Serbiens, Ivica Daçiç, zu einer Vereinbarung zwischen Kosovo und Serbien über Maßnahmen zur dauerhaften Normalisierung ihrer Beziehungen.

Kosovo feiert fünf Jahre Unabhängigkeit

Am 17.02.2013 feierte Europas jüngster Staat den fünften Jahrestag seiner Unabhängigkeit. In der kosovarischen Hauptstadt Pristina wehten die Flaggen des Kosovos, Albaniens, der USA und Europas. Das vor 5 Jahren aus Anlass der Unabhängigkeitserklärung aufgestellte NEW-BORN Monument wurde mit den Fahnen der 99 UNO-Mitglieder (von 193) bemalt, die das Kosovo bereits anerkannt haben.

Intra Party Democracy in Kosovo

This research study conducted by the Think Tank Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) in cooperation with different Kosovan authors and presented by KAS deals with the topic of “Internal Party Democracy in Kosovo”. It examines, describes and compares the intra-party democracy in some of the bigger political parties in Kosovo, in order to provide a basis for the development and consolidation of democratic structures and the possibilities of participation for their members.

Kosovo erhält volle Souveränität

KFOR-Truppen und EULEX-Helfer bleiben aber trotzdem weiterhin im Land.

Als jüngster Staat Europas wird der Kosovo seine volle Souveränität erhalten. Das wurde am 2. Juli 2012 in Wien von der Mehrheit der EU-Länder sowie den USA und der Türkei beschlossen. Der österreichische Außenminister und Vizekanzler, Michael Spindelegger (ÖVP), verkündete, dass mit diesem Beschluss die so genannte beaufsichtigte Unabhängigkeit des Kovosos ende. KFOR-Truppen und EULEX-Helfer bleiben aber trotzdem weiterhin im Land.

Vereinbarungen zur regionalen Kooperation zwischen Kosovo und Serbien

Am 24. Februar 2012, noch rechtzeitig vor dem nächsten EU-Gipfel, haben Serbien und Kosovo unter Vermittlung der Europäischen Union eine Vereinbarung über die regionale Kooperation abgeschlossen. Der Streit über die Anerkennung der Unabhängigkeit des Kosovos wurde damit nicht beigelegt, aber Vereinbarungen zur Regelung von Kosovos Auftreten bei internationalen Verhandlungen und Grenzkontrollen getroffen.

Keine Ruhe im Kosovo

Am Montag, dem 28.11.2011 kam es erneut zu gewalttätigen Auseinandersetzungen zwischen Kosovo-Serben und den Soldaten der Schutztruppe KFOR der NATO im Norden des Kosovos, als die KFOR eine von Serben errichtete Blockade auf der Straße zwischen Mitrovica und Zubin Potok entfernen wollte.
