New Normal in Entrepreneurship

B2B meetings of Croatian women entrepreneurs

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized together with the Women's Entrepreneurship Centre on Mai 11th in Gospić the first B2B meeting of Croatian women entrepreneurs on "New Normal in Entrepreneurship" in 2021. In the presence of the mayor of the city of Gospić, Karlo Starčević, and the director of the Women's Entrepreneurship Centre, Zrinka Peharec, Holger Haibach emphasized that despite the Corona crisis, they continue to work together successfully on this project, because the direct contact is an important segment of entrepreneurship, which manifests itself in conversations and meetings. In his opinion, this situation has taught us that we need to reshape our business habits, but that doesn't mean we have to give them up. The event was carried out taking into account all epidemiological regulations.

With the Chair of Journalism at the University of Ljubljana Prof. Marko Milosavljević, Ph.D. and Prof. Matevž Tomšič, Ph.D. from the School of Advanced Social Studies, we talked, among others, about freedom and pluralism in the Slovenian media landscape.

The focus of the discussion was on the countries of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the importance of statements in political processes by people that shape public opinion and knowledge, as well as their effects on society and the public media space.

Youth and local politics - does it work? And: how does it work?

Panel discussion

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized on April 14th, 2021 in Zagreb together with the Croatian Statehood Foundation (ZHDZ) and the Youth of the Croatian Democratic Union (MHDZ) from a TV Studio a panel discussion on "Youth and local politics - does it work? And: how does it work?". HDZ politicians, as well as representatives of the Youth of the party, discussed political participation at the local level and the representation and participation of young people in political processes at the local level. They discussed how local and regional self-government can directly influence the quality of life of young people, how young people perceive local government in general, and how to encourage them to participate politically at that level.

Political Academy of NSi

1st Online-Seminar

In cooperation with the NSi Institute "Dr. Janez Evangelist Krek" (IJEK), the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized the first online seminar of the NSi "Political Academy" from March 19th to 20th, 2021. During the 2-day online seminar, representatives of the NSi discussed the importance of political communication, the negative effects of fake news, the influence of social media in election campaigns and Christian democratic values in politics today.
