EU and Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union

The Croatian Paneuropean Union (HPEU) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organised from October 25th to 27th, 2019 in Split a conference on "EU and Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EU". In the presence of the Croatian Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Dr. Goran Grlić Radman, Croatian EPP Members in the European Parliament discussed with representatives of the International Paneuropean Union the upcoming Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EU and the current political trends and challenges in the EU.

13. Kroatischen Sicherheitstage

Die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung veranstaltete vom 23. bis 25. Oktober 2019 in Opatija gemeinsam mit der Kroatischen Vereinigung der Sicherheitsmanager (HUMS) eine weitere Konferenz zu Fragen der inneren Sicherheit. Unter Beteiligung des kroatischen Verteidigungsministers, Damir Krstičević diskutierten kroatische Sicherheitsexperten mit Unternehmensvertretern über Themen wie Unternehmenssicherheit, Krisenmanagement und Cybersicherheit.

Communication in Public Administration and Public Sector

FOCUS Conferenz

The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation organised in cooperation with the Institute for Inclusive-Integrated Communication in SEE from October 17 to 18, 2019 in Terme Tuhelj the fifth communication conference "Focus". With the participation of the State Secretary in the State Office for the Development of the Digital Society, Mr. Bernard Gršić and the Press Secretary of the City of Braunschweig, Mr. Adrian Foitzik, representatives of the Croatian public administration and public sector discussed with domestic and foreign communication and media experts the communication challenges in public Sector.

MAGROS 2019: Advantages and Disadvantages of the European Single Market

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organised together with the business magazine "Suvremena trgovina" on Oktober 16th, 2019 the MAGROS conference on"Advantages and disadvantages of the European internal market". The State Secretary in the Croatian Ministry of Economy, Mario Antonić, the President of the AHK Croatia, Dr. Thomas Sichla and representatives of Croatian company's discussed the competitiveness of Croatian products on the European market and investments in the Croatian trade sector.

Alumni congress

Within the political youth programe of the Croatian Statehood Foundation (ZHDZ), the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organised from October 11th to 12th, 2019 in Tuheljske Toplice in the presence of the Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković and numerous ministers from his cabinet, as well as the Member of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, President of Women in the EPP and President Robert Schuman Institute, Dr. Doris Pack, a congress of former graduates of the "Political Academy". Participants from all alumni generations spoke with HDZ politicians and political scientists about the current challenges of the Republic of Croatia.

Reformpotenziale in Kroatien

Die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung veranstaltete am 11. Oktober 2019 in Tuheljske Toplice gemeinsam mit der HDZ-Stiftung (ZHDZ) eine Konferenz zum Thema: "Reformpotenziale in Kroatien". In Anwesenheit der kroatischen Gespanschafts- und Städtevertreter stellte der kroatische Energie- und Umweltminister, Dr. Tomislav Ćorić die bisher erreichten Reformen vor und erläuterte künftige reformpolitische Anstrenungen Kroatiens.

30 Jahre Fall der Berliner Mauer

Aus Anlass des 30-jährigen Jubiläums der deutschen Wiedervereinigung veranstaltete die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung zusammen mit dem Zentrum zum Kulturwiederaufbau am 1. Oktober 2019 eine Konferenz über die Erinnerung an den Fall der Berliner Mauer und dessen Folgen für die politische und gesellschaftliche Lage in Europa. In Anwesenheit des Mitliedes des Bundesvorstandes der CDU, Frau Prof. Dr. Dagmar Schipanski, debattierten Historiker und Politiker mit Vertreter des diplomatischen Korps über die Erfahrungen mit dem Fall des sozialistischen totalitären Regimes in ganz Europa.

Überbrückung der Kluft zwischen Bildungspolitik und Herausforderungen

Talking Europe II: 2019 - 2020

Die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung veranstaltete am 30. September 2019 in Zagreb gemeinsam mit dem Institut für Sozialwissenschaften "Ivo Pilar" eine Konferenz zum Thema: "Überbrückung der Kluft zwischen Bildungspolitik und Herausforderungen". Unter Beteiligung des Mitliedes des Bundesvorstandes der CDU, Frau Prof. Dr. Dagmar Schipanski, und des Staatssekretärs im kroatischen Bildungsministerium, Herrn Dr. Tome Antičić, diskutierten Vertreter der kroatischen akademischen Gemeinschaft und der Zivilgesellschaft über die Herausforderungen des Bildungssystems in Kroatien und Deutschland.

KAS/ZHDZ Begabtenakademie

Die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung veranstaltete zusammen mit der HDZ-Stiftung (ZHDZ) vom 13. bis 15. September 2019 in Slavonski Brod ein weiteres Seminar der Reihe: "HDZ Begabtenförderung". Während des dreitägigen Seminars diskutieten die Teilnehmer mit verschiedenen Vertretern der Universität Zagreb über die Geschäftskommunikation und diplomatische Arbeit in der Politik sowie über die Darstellungsformen von politischen Inhalten in den Medien.

Public opinion - XXV. International symposium "Understanding and Interpreting"

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organised with the University of Zadar from September 9th to 12th, 2019 an international symposium on "Understanding and Interpreting". During the 3-day event, representatives from numerous European universities discussed the importance of freedom of expression in shaping public opinion for the development of a modern democratic society.
