Über 150 Vertreter aus der südosteuropäischen Parteien- und Medienlandschaft sowie zahlreiche Diplomaten nahmen an der Regionalkonferenz „Trends und Perspektiven der Politischen Kommunikation“ der KAS Zagreb teil. Die Veranstaltung wurde vom kroatischen Staatspräsidenten Stjepan Mesic eröffnet.

Aus Anlass des 400.Jubiläums des Zeitungsdrucks veranstaltete die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Außenstelle Zagreb, eine internationale Fachkonferenz zum Thema „Neue Zeitungen - Neue Leser“, um die Rolle und Bedeutung von Zeitungen sowie neue Trends und Perspektiven im Zeitungswesen mit einem Fachpublikum aus ganz Südosteuropa zu diskutieren.

Politischer Katholizismus in Europa und Kroatien

Im Rahmen des Projekts „Politik und Menschenwürde“ organisierte die KAS-Außenstelle Zagreb die Fachtagung „Politischer Katholizismus in Europa und Kroatien“. Betont wurde dort die Notwendigkeit des Dialogs zwischen Politik und Kirche, ihr wechselseitiges und unverzichtbares Verhältnis sowie das Engagement von Menschen in christlichen Parteien und von Christen in der Politik, wie es Konrad Adenauer in seinem Appell an die Christen einst formulierte, dass Demokratie nur dann funktionieren könne, wenn Menschen sich in Parteien organisieren und Meinungen zur Geltung bringen.
