Details
Arab Resource Center for Popular Arts (ARCPA), commonly known as AL-JANA, has held two photojournalism workshops for Syrian refugee children in the context of its project: "Photojournalism as a Mediator in Social Conflicts – Junior journalists during wartime". The refugee children, aged between 10 and 14 years, have sought refuge, particularly in marginalized areas in Lebanon.
Through these workshops, Syrian refugee children were initiated to the use photography as a powerful tool to narrate their personal stories and express their own viewpoint about the crisis.
The upcoming exhibition will be displaying again their photos and stories and will enable the children to reflect and share their experience with other children and community members, in the presence of media experts, journalists, members of children centers and civil society organizations.
