Historically women always had diverse roles and responsibility's in the traditional family environment, while leadership positions has been reserved for men. But in the present age the process of searching independence in political participation has started long since. Nevertheless women still have to break down many barriers to be accepted as leaders or granted votes in election. The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation is pleased to host this project presentation to empower women's attendance in the political process.

During this project workshops and seminars will be offered for 80 women from Baalbeck for an 8 months period to gain new skills for their active participation the the public life and their personal and professional development.
