Challenges of the Contemporary Disinformation

The Institute of Democratic Politics in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Office Lithuania is organizing a seminar “Building Digital Resilience – Digital Media Literacy” on 15-16 August 2020. Journalists from different cities and regions in Lithuania as well as representatives from the civil society gather together to discuss the ways to counter disinformation and to strengthen their digital literacy skills.

This is the second time Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Office Lithuania and The Institute of Democratic Politics cooperate in organizing a seminar on the challenges of the contemporary disinformation and the importance of digital resilience. The programme of a two-day event consists of lectures and workshops on topics and questions such as: „How to spot disinformation yourself?“, „Efforts to fight  disinformation“, „EU strategy in fighting online disinformation and the spread of fake news “, „Importance of civic resilience in Lithuania/Europe and the newest initiatives“, etc. Among the speakers and moderators there will be experts and practitioners from Vilnius University, Lithuanian Ministry of Defence, Atlantic Council, Eastern Europe Studies Center, different media outlets and other institutions.

 

The language of the seminar is Lithuanian.
