Details

This is the title of the first publication in the Republic of Macedonia focusing on the topic of lustration. The work is informing about transition law, the modality, the judicial legitimating of lustration processes, as well as a short comparative view on the lustration process in other countries. The publication gives a chronological view on the steps towards the lawmaking. The law on lustration (and its two changes) is analyzed together with the action before the constitutional court and it also consists of relevant Macedonian and international documents related to the lustration.

The authors have also been involved in the lawmaking process and are one of the initiators and promoters of the lustration process in Macedonia. Still, there are differences between their views on implementing and classifying the process.

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation not only in Germany, but worldwide, backs lustration processes. We there-fore find it interesting to listen to the authors of this new book that was recently published in Macedonia and would like to offer a space for discussion with the au-thors and organizers of the book about the important issue of lustration.
