"Migration on the Balkans: Common Security Challenges and Ways to Cope with the Prolonged Crisis"

Regional Student Conference

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation together with the Faculty of Security – Skopje from 3rd to 5th June hosted the regional student conference on the topic: “Migration on the Balkans: Common Security Challenges and Ways to Cope with the Prolonged Crisis” in Skopje and Gevgelija. About 50 participants from both Macedonia and Greece attended the conference which was organized in cooperation with two universities from Greece: "University Aristoteles" (Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki) and "Sheffield University - City College of Thessaloniki" (University of Sheffield) from Thessaloniki.

“Cathedra Adenauer: Quo Vadis, Europe?”

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies from 3-5th June in Krushevo organized a seminar titled "Cathedra Adenauer: Quo vadis, Europe?". The weekend seminar was attended by around 40 participants from different universities in the country.

Auf Einladung der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung waren diese Woche junge Politikerinnen der LDP aus Kosovo in Berlin. Den Teilnehmerinnen wurden Denkanstöße und Anregungen zur Verbesserung der Teilhabe von Frauen in Politik und Gesellschaft im eigenen Land vermittelt. Das Besucherprogramm wurde vom Team Inlandsprogramme organisiert und von Johannes D. Rey, Leiter des Auslandsbüros Mazedonien und Kosovo, begleitet. Verantwortlich für die Durchführung von Seiten des Teams Inlandsprogramme: Ingrid Garwels.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), office in the Republic of Macedonia, traditionally supports the annual celebration of the 9th May –"THE EUROPE DAY” organized by the European Movement of the Republic of Macedonia.

EFF delegation visited Macedonia

KAS hosted representatives of the Eduardo Frei Foundation from Netherlands (EFF). During their visit, the representatives of EFF had great number of political meetings but also they have met representatives from the NGO sector with whom they have discussed the current political situation and the future challenges for Macedonia on its path towards the EU.
