With H.E. The President of Indonesia Dr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, H.E. Dr. Sri Mulyani Indrawati, State Minister of National Development Planning, Dr. Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, Head of the Aceh and Nias Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Executive Agency, and editors, editors-in-chief and publishers from more than 20 Asian and European countries.

The Asian-European Editors’ Forum, currently in its 6th year, will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in cooperation with The Jakarta Post. As in the past years, this forum will provide a platform for editors from Asia and Europe firstly to discuss mutual media issues, secondly to meet high ranking officials and experts in the field and thirdly to gain first hand insights into the political, economic and religious situation of the respective country and region.

Themes to be discussed at the Forum include: The First Ten Months of Yudhoyono’s Residency; The Current and Future Economic Situation of Indonesia among Its SEA’s Neighbours; The Future Challenges (territorial, religious); The Concept of Islam in the Civic Society and Its Role for Women as well as Its Interactions with the Media.
