PRO.PR conference 2017: KAS offers free participation for young professionals

Interview for the Albanian daily "Panorama"

The Director of the KAS country office Albania, Walter Glos, and the Director of the KAS Media Program South East Europe, Christian Spahr, gave a joint interview for the Albanian daily "Panorama". The focus is on current political topics such as the political situation before the elections in June 2017 and the cooperation of KAS with the Democratic Party of Albania (DP) for the development of its economic policy and its communication strategy.

The Media Program South East Europe of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation has published a new expert book: "Conflict reporting in the smartphone era – from budget constraints to information warfare".

New KAS book on journalism education

First cross-national survey among students in South East Europe

The "Task Force Journalism Education" of KAS Media Program South East Europe has published a new book based on a research among students about their motivation to study journalism. The survey was conducted from February to March 2015 in Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Serbia with 531 students from state and private universities. The outcomes and the book will be presented during the South East Europe Media Forum on 22nd November 2016 in Belgrade. It will serve as a basis for a public debate with politicians, media managers and other stakeholders on possible education reforms.

Albanian and Belarusian journalists win CEI SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism 2016

The CEI and the South East Europe Media Organisation, in special partnership with the Media Program South East Europe of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, have announced the winners of the "CEI SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism 2016": Lindita Çela in the section "Professional Journalists" and Artsiom Harbatsevich in the section "Young Professional Journalists".

Summer School of Investigative Reporting 2016

Call for applications open

The call for applications for the Summer School of Investigative Reporting 2016 has started. The seminar will take place from 21 until 27 August in Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Host organisations are the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) and the Media Program South East Europe of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
