In Southeastern Europe, too, the current year is politically exciting and full of events being marked by a number of elections and media-related issues. Press spokespersons are everyday at the intersection between politics and media and have a considerable impact on these developments. Therefore, the workshop aims at exchanging experiences, taking up new ideas and establishing networks for the future. The Media Programme of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is thus continuously expanding the area of political communication. Journalists’ qualification, the fostering of media freedom and media pluralism and the professionalisation of political communication are the three pillars of the project work in ten countries altogether.
