The workshop contributes to setting higher professional standards by providing techniques for data protection and security of confidential sources of information. It focuses on data journalism skills, with training on how to process, analyse and present data obtained under access to information requests.

Hosts of the workshop are KAS Media Program South East Europe, the journalists’ network n-ost as well as Access Info Europe. The partner organisations are working to empower journalists in their role of public watchdogs through exercise of their access to information rights. Moreover, the international cooperation among investigative journalists from the region will be strengthened.
