Peppery politics - the role of political satire in media - Media Programme Southeast Europe
Seminar
Details
Satire in Bulgaria became free first after the fall of the Berlin wall. It is still in the process of self determination and of defining its moral standards and limits.
Satire, comedy, entertainment, mockery, malice – Hilmar Klute (Süddeutsche Zeitung, Streiflicht), Jesko Friedrich (NDR, Extra 3) and Wolfgang Börnsen (German Bundestag, media policy speaker of the CDU/CSU fraction) speak about the small, but often very fine differences and the flowing borders between those terms and about ethical aspects in satirical art in Sofia, on March 7th 2013. Speakers and participants at the seminar are also Bulgarian caricaturists, TV producers, journalists, politicians and members of parliament. The event is organized by the KAS Media Program South East Europe in cooperation with the Media Development Center.
