Co-hosts are the Montenegrin Government, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Montenegro, the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica.
The SEECOM conference 2013 aims at bringing together government spokespeople from South East Europe and international experts. Besides that, the event contributes to setting up professional and ethical principles of the political communications in the region.
One of the topics of this year’s conference is the establishment of a regional association for communication professionals in the public sector. Topics of the presentations and discussions are futhermore the role of government communication in the democracy, the use of new communication technologies and the dialogue with the citizens on EU topics.
Among the panelists are Frank Priess, Deputy Head of the Department European and International Cooperation of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), Jens Teschke, Spokesman of the German Federal Ministry of Interior, John Verrico, President-Elect of the U.S. National Association of Government Communicators and numerous other communication and public affairs experts from the EU and the Balkan countries.
