This year’s event will focus on „Journalism in South East Europe: Monopolies, business models and the struggle for quality”. Further topics of the panels and discussions are the transparency of the media markets and the media pluralism in the region. Besides that, the “CEI SEEMO Award for Investigative Journalism” 2013 will be granted: SEEMO Secretary General Oliver Vujovic, CEI Secretary General Giovanni Caracciolo di Vietri and Christian Spahr, Head of KAS Media Program South East Europe, award Mahir Šahinović (Sarajevo) und Rosen Tsvetkov (Sofia).
The SEEMF has been organized annually since 2007 und is nowadays the biggest media event in South East Europe. More than 250 media experts from 20 countries took part in the SEEMF 2012 in Budva, Montenegro. Previous forums took place in Belgrade (2011), Budapest (2010), Tirana (2009), Sofia (2008) und in Zagreb (2007).
