The KAS Media Program South East Europe invites media executives and journalists to the X. South East Europe Media Forum (SEEMF). Co-hosts are the South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO) and the Central European Initiative (CEI).

Details

The theme of this year's SEEMF is "Media in Europe: Ready for crisis reporting?". Discussions will cover the media and politics in Serbia, the refugee crisis as a touch-stone for professional journalism and new trends in war reporting. A session will also be dedicated to the journalism education in South East Europe.

During the opening ceremony, the "CEI SEEMO Award for Investigative Journalism" 2015 will be granted by SEEMO Secretary General Oliver Vujović, CEI Senior Executive Officer Barbara Fabro and Christian Spahr, Head of the KAS Media Program South East Europe.

The SEEMF has been organised annually since 2007 und is nowadays the biggest media event in South East Europe. More than 250 media experts from 24 countries took part in the SEEMF 2015 in Bucharest. Previous forums took place in Skopje (2014), Sarajevo (2013), Budva (2012), Belgrade (2011), Budapest (2010), Tirana (2009), Sofia (2008) and Zagreb (2007).
