In order to have a deeper understanding on the subject the Bayda Institute is taking up this project of bringing together representatives of Union and state as well as regional public representatives and officials to discuss the current practices of cooperation and relationships between the Union and state/regional levels. This project will be implemented in collaboration with the Bago regional government and parliament and the Union government and Union parliamentary bodies. The purpose is to initiate discussion of issues and challenges of sub-national governance and ways to address some of the challenges within the 2008 constitution.
