The universality of human rights

Radio interview of Anton Bösl (KAS) by the NBC

On the occasion of the inernational human rights day (December 10) Imke Stoldt of the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation conducted an hour-long interview with the Resident Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Dr Anton Bösl. Parts of the interview had been broadcast before the international human rights day, with the full interview being broadcast on the day itself. Issues which were discussed included the contrast between the context of the genesis of the concept of human rights, with their universal normative validity. The protection of human rights at three levels was also discussed, namely the national level (Namibia), the regional level (African human rights protection systems) and the international level (UN human rights protection systems).
